Millersville head coach Fred Thompson owns a 41-19 record all-time against the PSAC West, but putting together a string of wins will not be easy this weekend as the two opponents—Slippery Rock and No. 21 Mercyhurst—have a combined 19-3 record this year.

Senior Reggie Bates scored a season-high 29 points, and sophomore Rob Coney tallied a career-high 12 points to lead the Millersville men's basketball team to a 71-65 victory over California (Pa.) Sunday afternoon in Pucillo Gymnasium.

The Millersville women's basketball team entered Sunday's PSAC Crossover with fifth-ranked California (Pa.) looking for its second-straight victory over a ranked opponent. The visiting Vulcans, however, had other plans and used a strong second half to pull away from the Marauders, 76-60.

The Marauder women’s basketball team scored a major upset at home Saturday by beating the No. 8-ranked Indiana University 54-42 and handing the Crimson Hawks their widest margin of defeat this season.

he Millersville men's basketball team built a 10 point lead at the half Saturday against Indiana (Pa.). The visiting Crimson Hawks, however, needed just over five minutes to erase Millersville's lead and rally to a 76-66 triumph in Pucillo Gymnasium.

Over the Thanksgiving break, members of the Millersville track and field and cross country teams raised money for "Adopt a Family" and Lancaster's Water Street Rescue Mission. Within two weeks the team was able to raise over $1,500 made up of cash, checks and coins. This money was used to fund two community service projects.
