He received his B.S. degree in physical education at West Virginia University and his Master’s from Kansas State University.  He earned NATA certification as an athletic trainer in 1981 and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

In her 1st year at Millersville Kate received her B.S. in Health Science/Athletic Training from the Lock Haven University and her Master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Athletic Training. She earned her NATA certification in 2005 and is certified as a Performance Enchancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Amanda Shannon

A graduate of Clarion University, Amanda  begins her first year at Millersville pursuing a Masters in Athletic Administration. She was involved in a dual degree program similar to Millersville's dual degree program with West Chester University. Amanda received a degree in Liberal Arts through Clarion and through online classes at CUP received a degree in Athletic Training.

Yuya Waida, ATC

A graduate of San Jose State University in San Jose CA, Yuya  begins his first year at Millersville pursuing a Masters in Emergency Management. After graduating from SJSU, Yuya was the head athletic trainer at Monta Vista High School, Cupertino, CA.  He was responsible for over 1,000 athletes and 40 teams.

Dr. Jeff Wimer, Ph.D., ATC

In his 6th year at Millersville, Dr. Wimer is the Athletic Training Program Consultant. He received his BS in Athletic Training/Health Education from Slippery Rock University, a Master's degree from Ohio University, an Educational Specialist degree from Marshall University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Dayton. He earned NATA certification in 1989.
