Allergy Injections, Immunizations and Vaccines

Allergy Injections

For your protection, allergy injections will be given only when a physician or nurse practitioner is present. Please schedule an appointment with a nurse and allow 30 minutes for a mandatory waiting time after receiving the injection. The first injection from a new vial of serum must be given at the prescribing physician's office. There is a $5.00 charge for each injection visit.

Immunizations and Vaccines

Other injections are also available at Health Services. Charges vary according to cost. Below is a listing of other immunizations available in Health Services and approximate costs.

Adacel (Tdap) tetanus diptheria and pertussis 35.00
HPV vaccine $130 - Price may vary. Please call to order and discuss payment.
Tetanus Diptheria (Td)15.00
Hepatitis B (Series of three) $45.00 or $15 each for Adolescent under age 20,
$90.00 or $30 each for Adult 20 and over
Influenza Vaccine (flu shot)
Menomune (meningitis vaccine) 		Provided on campus by an outside agency in the fall semester. Mailings with date and cost sent to parents and students.

College and University Vaccination Act

This law requires all students living in Pennsylvania college/university owned housing either provide proof they have been vaccinated for meningococcal disease or sign a waiver indicating they are declining to be vaccinated. This law will apply to all Millersville students who will be living in University residence halls.

Vaccines for Overseas Travel

Travel immunizations are currently unavailable at Millersville Health Services. Listed below are facilities that provide vaccines for a fee.

Tuberculosis Skin Test - Mantoux

TB skin test is required in the 12 months prior to admission to Millersville University. Mantoux skin test is available at Health Services for $10.00.
