| The Marauder Detachment has fielded a Ranger Challenge team the past three year 2002, 2003, and 2004 and plans to compete again this Fall. The Ranger Challenge team is the "Varsity sport" of Army ROTC meeting several times a week for practice and physical training events. The team trains year round for a single
rigorous weekend of continuous competition held in the Fall against over 20 other schools. The team consist of the 10 best competing members in several events:
Physical Fitness test, Land Navigation, Hand Grenade assault course, One-Rope Bridge, Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Weapons Assembly/Disassembly, written
Patrolling exam, and finally a 10km Ruck March. If you are interested in becoming a member, and you are enrolled in ROTC, contact the Ranger Challenge team captain. |
