Amy Hauptly (sociology '04) graduated in May from St. Joseph's with an M.S. in Criminal Justice with concentrations in Federal Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement Intelligence & Crime Analysis. Amy is at the same job she's been at since graduating from Millersville. She's a Survey Analyst with Altman Weil, Inc. in Newtown Square, PA.

Kristen Myxter (sociology '02) has been working for Family Service Partners of Harrisburg for the past 4 years as an In-home family reunification/preservation caseworker. All of the families that she works with are referred from Dauphin County Children and Youth or Juvenile Probation. The last we heard, she was looking into graduate programs for Occupational Therapy and was excited to obtain her masters!

Aaron Dow (anthropology '04) will be departing for his Peace Corps assignment in Turkmenistan on October 2, 2005. This will begin his 3 months
of training followed by a 2 year assignment in country. Aaron will be helping to develop a new preventative health education system for his
assigned community. This will involve doing an assessment of health problems in his community, developing various lesson plans, and teaching
these lessons to men and women ranging from school age to adulthood. After returning to the U.S., Aaron hopes to begin a career with a non-profit
organization and possibly continue his education in graduate school.

Brian Buchanan (anthropology '01) is working as an archaeologist for Mt. Vernon and attends graduate school. Follow this link to Distillery Excavation at Mt. Vernon to see examples of his work.

Liz Richards (anthropology '96) After graduating from Millersville University, Liz moved to Buffalo, NY
where she earned an MA in Women's Studies from the State University of NY at Buffalo (2000). While in Buffalo, Liz worked as a lighting designer for Hag
Theater Company, and cultivated an interest in filmmaking and video art which lead her to pursue an MFA in film and video at the Visual Studies
Workshop in Rochester, NY (2002). After completing her coursework, Liz moved to Boston to work in both TV and Web production with the PBS history series
"American Experience" at WGBH. Currently, Liz teaches film production at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA while also continuing to produce
her own films and videos. She has shown work extensively at both the national and international level. She is showing "TransParent" at the Visual Studies Workshop
Gallery in Rochester, NY on 11/13/04.

Jemina Brown (sociology '03) is moving to TX to become a cheerleader with the San Antonio Spurs squad. Way to go, Jemina! She also plans to pursue a graduate degree in higher education administration.

Karen Keser (anthropology) works for Metanexus Institute as an Administrative/Executive Assistant.

Ann Houston (sociology '02) is enrolled in a Master's program in Health Care Administration at King's College. While attending graduate school, she is also employed as a social worker at a nursing home.

Joe Trainor, (sociology '02) is ABD in Sociology at the University of Delaware. He is a project manager with the Disaster Research Group at Delaware.

More info on that accomplished cohort of sociology majors who graduated in 2002: Jason Brown is a probation officer with Lancaster County Adult Probation and Parole Services, Suzanne Eshleman recently married and is working as a customer service representative at a bank in Boston while taking graduate courses in business administration. Amanda Lauffer is a case manager for a social service agency in McKeesport, PA. Jennifer Meadows, Sara Benson, and Dana Thompson work for the Lancaster County Public Assistance Office. The rest of the cohort should update us by sending information to Dr. Mahaffy.

Justin Garcia, (anthropology '01) completed his second year as a graduate student in Anthropology at Temple University.

Dr. Patricia Baker, (anthropology '90) is a lecturer in archaeology and classics and the university of Kent, Canterbury. She has just started her third year and teach a wide variety of classes: Gender and archaeology, Medical History, Greek and Roman Medicine (this is her speciality), Romans in the West, Greeks and Romans in the East, Archaeology of Death, Greek art, Roman art, Introduction to Archaeological Theory and Roman Britain.

Bill Donner, (sociology '01) successfully defended his M.A. thesis, sociology, at University of Delaware.

Debra Eisenberg, (double major in sociology & psychology ' 02), completes her M.A. (her thesis research involved an examination of the continued adherence and belief in the disaster mythology) at University of Illinois in May & will be working on her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Delaware effective this September (& R.A. at Disaster Research Center).

Paula Miller, (anthropology ) is a Project Manager for archaeology at Cultural Heritage Research Services (CHRS) in North Wales, PA.

Heather Murray, (sociology '98) works at Office Depot headquarters in Delray Beach, Florida. She manages the execution of the National Direct Mail program for the company, mailing around 3-4 million pieces of mail to our customers monthly.

Jessica Paine, (sociology '01), completed a year with AmeriCorps and is now employed in Lancaster as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at Manos House, a residential facility for boys 14-18.

Krista Reynolds, (anthropology ) is a graduate student at Temple University in the Anthropology department. She is researching the politics of gender, race, and class in the construction of infertility and access to treatment in Philadelphia.

Chris Wilson, (sociology '98) works for US Endoscopy as an Account Manager.
